How to Do the Basic Healing Touch Sequence

How to Do the Basic Healing Touch Sequence

The Basic Healing Touch Sequence is a method of assessing and treating the human energy field. The process is easy to follow and can be an efficient way of guiding treatment. Learn the sequence by reading through the steps below.

1

Receive permission to treat the client and identify their health needs.

2

Prepare for treatment by centering yourself and becoming in tune with your client. Stand behind your client and visualize energy being pulled up from the earth through your spine and spreading throughout your body. When you feel the calm flow of energy, proceed to the next step.

3

Set your intention for the client's highest good. Place your hands on the client's shoulders and set your mind on unconditional love. One way to do this is to visualize someone who loves your client standing in front of you. Look into this person's eyes and feel the love that they have for your client.

4

Scan your client's energy field by moving your hands slowly over (6 to 12 inches) their body. Take note of any changes in temperature, pressure or unusual sensations. Common sensations include vibration, pulsation, density or flow.

5

Perform Healing Touch magnetic passes on your client. Place your hands (palms down) 1 to 6 inches above your client's body. Slowly brush down and away from the body with one hand following the other in smooth sweeping strokes. Continue brushing in this manner progressing from head to toe focusing on pulling the pain or congested energy off and away from your client.

6

Hold your hands over any area where your client feels pain or concern. Continue holding your hands over the area until you feel a flow or release of energy followed by a change in the area. Examples of changes include a fullness or change in temperature indicating a balancing of energy.

7

Reassess your client's energy field by rescanning and noting any changes such as blocked areas flowing, hot areas turning cool or pain subsiding.

8

Ground your client by touching and holding their feet and/or gently calling out their name. Note any changes in your client's pain, tension, breathing or skin color. In addition, ask them for feedback.
